Katherine
Hunt
Katherine is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience supporting adults and adolescents (12–18 years). She works with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, emotional dysregulation, sleep difficulties, relationship challenges, and disordered eating.
Katherine values the opportunity to walk alongside people as they make sense of their experiences. Her approach is collaborative, flexible, and guided by each person’s individual needs and pace. Drawing on evidence-based therapies, she encourages curiosity about patterns, relationships, and inner experiences, while placing strong importance on creating a space where clients feel comfortable to share openly.
Katherine has specialist training in perinatal psychology and supports individuals through experiences such as birth trauma, postnatal anxiety and depression, and early bonding or relational challenges. She has also conducted perinatal research at the Institute of Psychiatry (London, UK), contributing to published papers and a book exploring the needs of mothers experiencing mental illness.
She also has a strong interest in trauma work, integrating both body- and mind-based approaches to support nervous system regulation and recovery. Her work in this area is grounded in care, patience, and sensitivity, with a focus on helping people process and integrate difficult past experiences. This includes supporting those with histories of difficult childhood experiences, assault, war-related trauma, and workplace incidents.
At the heart of Katherine’s work is a belief in balance across work, rest, and pleasure, and the importance of cultivating self-compassion, acceptance, and mindful living as part of meaningful psychological wellbeing.
