Kate
Hollitt

Kate is a Clinical Psychologist and Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 25 years of experience. At the heart of her work is an understanding that relationships shape us — and that change happens in the context of feeling safe, understood, and connected.

She takes a holistic view of mental health, understanding that our emotional world is not just something that happens in our minds, but is deeply held in our bodies. Kate works with an awareness of the nervous system — how it learns from our early experiences, how it protects us, and how it continues to shape the way we feel, respond, and relate to others across our lives.

Kate works with children, adolescents and adults, bringing a strong understanding of child development and the relational environments in which people grow. She supports children through play and connection and works closely with parents to strengthen relationships and build confidence in responding to their child’s needs.

Her experience allows her to work across a wide range of presentations across the life span, children, adolescents and adults, with particular interest in working with parents, trauma, and women through times of transition — including the perinatal period and menopause — where identity, relationships and wellbeing are often shifting.

Kate draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including ACT, EMDR, attachment-based therapy, CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, mindfulness approaches and play therapy. Her work is flexible and responsive, always guided by the person in front of her and their needs and goals.

Above all, Kate aims to create a space where people feel met where they are, and supported to cultivate meaningful, lasting change.
